It began with a simple question: What if we could design a way to deliver skincare ingredients directly where they’re needed most?

For our founders Madhavi Gavini and Rathi Srinivas, this wasn’t just a thought experiment — it was a mission. As MIT-trained scientists, their research often intersects with complex medical challenges like epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare and painful genetic condition that causes extremely fragile skin. For patients with EB, even the gentlest creams can't reach below the skin’s surface, where wound healing takes place.

This led Madhavi and Rathi to invent a non-invasive method of delivering targeted ingredients to the dermal level of skin where new cells develop through a combination of fluid physics and high-speed electricity. This is the groundbreaking, patented technology behind Droplette.

Our Breakthrough

Custom-designed for home use, the Droplette transdermal delivery system converts potent skincare formulas into a fine aerosolized mist, propelling weightless droplets beneath the skin barrier. Each droplet is engineered to carry clinically-tested actives like peptides, retinol, and growth factors directly into your skin's dermal level for results that rival injectables. No downtime, no discomfort — only skin that is visibly and noticeably healthy.

Although we started out working on the Droplette technology as a painless, needle-free delivery solution that could hopefully one day cure EB, we quickly realized that our technology has applications in every realm of skincare. Both of us have had our share of skincare issues: between us we’ve dealt with acne in our twenties, hyperpigmentation, dry skin, and scarring and we’ve tried every over the counter product out there. As it turns out, most of them don’t really work or offer a holistic solution.

We’ve worked on engineering & optimizing this technology for many years and along the way, we’ve spoken with countless physicians, drug delivery experts, and end users. The device itself has gone through dozens of iterations so that we could get the form factor, the feel, and the efficacy perfectly right. Alongside the device, we’ve developed our formulations to only include those essential ingredients that are necessary for your skin, and have spent years in the lab tweaking the ingredients and concentrations to achieve the best results.

We believe that we have successfully tackled the two biggest challenges in skincare with our technology: pain and effective delivery. We created this as a medical-grade product and are so excited to finally bring Droplette into the hands of users like you.
